Child Safety & Club Policies

Helensvale Pacific Pines Cricket Club is committed to providing a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone involved with the Hawks.

Every child has the right to enjoy cricket, feel safe and be treated with respect. We want our young players to feel comfortable speaking up and confident that they will be heard.

Our commitment

At the Hawks, we are committed to:

  • Putting the safety and wellbeing of children and young people first.

  • Listening to young people and involving them in decisions that affect them.

  • Welcoming children of all backgrounds, cultures and abilities.

  • Promoting respectful behaviour on and off the field, including online.

  • Following appropriate screening and child safety practices for people working with juniors.

  • Taking concerns seriously and acting promptly to protect young people.

Abuse, bullying, harassment, discrimination and inappropriate behaviour have no place at our club. Keeping children safe is everyone’s responsibility.

Our Child Safety Officer

Aaron Bray
Child Safety Officer
Email: aaron@ctatraining.com.au

Aaron is the club’s point of contact for child safety questions and concerns. You can speak with him about something you have experienced, witnessed or are worried about.

You do not need to have all the details before asking for help.

A message for our young Hawks

Cricket should be safe and enjoyable. If something makes you feel uncomfortable, worried or unsafe:

  • Tell Aaron or an adult you trust.

  • Ask a parent, carer or trusted person to help you speak up.

  • Keep asking for help if you still feel worried.

Your voice matters. You will be listened to and taken seriously.

If someone is in immediate danger, call Triple Zero (000).
